  1. In your food processor or blender, pulse the nuts, oil, nectar & sea salt until blended. Remove from blender and set aside.
  2. Next, add the dates, cocao powder, cocao nibs & maca powder to blender and blend until smooth.
  3. Transfer mixture to mixing bowl and add in the blended nuts.
  4. Mix by hand.
  5. Press into wax paper and shape into a square log.
  6. Freeze for 30 minutes.
  7. Slice into "bites" and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Recipe Notes

When you are pulsing the dates & cocao, you will need to stop the blender and redistribute the dates (or if you are using a Vitamix, use the insert) otherwise you will overwork the blender and may smell it burning or see smoke. Don't worry most blenders have an auto-shut off to avoid the risk of overheating.

I ended up doing this in batches and mixing by hand because I didn't want as much oil as last time because it made the bars too greasy.

I added Maca Powder for an extra energy boost.
